Invisible deaths at the borders. Identification procedures in Maghreb.
For too long European borders have been places of disappearances and invisible deaths due to the policies of closure implemented by governments and the lack of legal and safe pathways. The informative meeting will discuss the situation in Maghreb in order to identify responsibilities, the role played by governments and the room for manoeuvre of international organizations, local associations and migrants’ communities in victims’ recovery and identifications operations, and supporting family research of missing persons in the Mediterrean and land borders.
