Aging population and care work, what are the prospects in Italy?

The progressive aging of the italian population will turn caregivers more and more essential, the majority of whom are women with foreign origins. However, the aging process will affect also the people who work in housework and care sector. This will make the discussion about caregivers’ generational change necessary, going through migration policies and opportune training courses that define expertises. It’s fundamental to relaunch the role of domestic caregivers who are hard hit by the pandemic and the dramatic economic consequences.
